Selection and Coordination of all warehouses in North European Continent (BeNeLux, DACH & PL) used for CFS/CFS und CFS/CY services.
• Steering and handling of own import consol containers • Preparation of Import Gateway Tariff • Playing an active role in the procurement of contracts for the inbound consol containers with carriers (HAMBURG SÜD, OOCL, HANJIN (past)) • Liaise with market leading NVOCCs (SACO, VANGUARD) to keep track on market and rate developments • Assisting the Tender Management team with LCL rate input for tenders and bids • Preparing the month-end closing for the Gateway Department • Develop suggestions for product development/new LCL import services • Participating in a project to set up a new inhouse NVOCC
• Handling of FCL and LCL ocean freight shipments to and from Germany including procurement as well of local services (trucker, customs broker and warehouse services) as of ocean services • Handling of airfreights to Southeast Asia • Agents and partners in Singapore, UAE, Bangladesh and El Salvador
• Involved in all aspects of the day to day running of the Regional LCL Product and two regional hubs • Maintain close contact to the preferred co-load partners (ECU, SHIPCO/WWA, VANGUARD, GLOBELINK/ GCA) • Collaborate with FCL procurement to the set up dedicated rate contracts for consol containers from Asia to Europe (HANJIN, MAERSK LINE and HAPAG LLOYD) • Maintain close contact with the CFS operator running the Singapore LCL Hub including on-going service reviews and annual rate negotiations • Charged with developing the product and creating new services • Achieve above the market growth and increased yields that vastly improved utilisations • Improve the in-house utilisation • Responsible for one direct and 16 indirect reports
• Responsible for developing new business and retaining the existing client base • Headed the team handling all FCL and LCL shipments of the key account Clariant • Managed the local operations/consolidation centre (2 staff) • Introduced an audit system and compliance procedures • Responsible for three direct reports
