About

For the past 7 years, I have been working as an Assistant Bakery Manager for Safeway. I woke up 5 days a week between 2 and 6am, performed heavy labor (up to 150lbs of dough at a time), performed customer service, and all on top of plenty of management tasks (delegation, training, inventory, team leader). I proved to myself, and to those around me, that I am a dedicated employee and a fast learner and teacher. When the lockdown hit, I looked at my best skills and I chose to move to a field where my strengths are a desired necessary quality, instead of a nice addition. I am deeply grateful for all that I learned and I value the experience Safeway provided, but I have been itching for a career change. Programming has become more and more relevant and I have a family background in computers. My dad owned a computer repair business back in the 90's/early 2000's and I have plenty of relevant knowledge because of it. With these basics in mind I graduated from Lighthouse Labs to become adept at programming and web skills. I discovered a love for coding, and I am thrilled to be part of the field of tech.
