  • Intern at Campbell's Gold Honey Farm and Meadery
    Apr 2022 - May 2022 · 2 mos

Campbell's Gold Honey Farm and Meadery was a versatile and unique co-op placement in Abbotsford, British Columbia. During my 3 weeks here, I worked lots in the honey production and packaging space at the farm, then spent some time working in the storefront. Several private events were hosted at the farm while I was there, where I had the opportunity to set up, work, then take down these events. I took every chance to learn about the science of bees and their relation to the environment, and met several fascinating individuals who had lots to share. This co-op placement ultimately helped me decide that I wanted to pursue post-secondary education in an environmental field, and continue to explore many of the skills I learned while at the farm.

  • Assistant Support Worker at Semiahmoo House Society-Uniti
    Apr 2022 - Apr 2022 · 1 mo

Semiahmoo House Society was one of my two high school co-op placements, where I learned new skills and had the chance to explore a potential career path for me. During these three weeks, I worked with amazing people who have committed to ensuring adults with disabilities are fully valued and included in their community. I got to work alongside the community members doing activities such as crafts, swimming, and walking. Furthermore, I spent some time learning budgeting, communication and media, and general office tasks. My social skills developed greatly throughout this experience, and I had the chance to learn more about healthcare and well-being.
