I'm a friendly and hard working individual who loves tech and all the ways it is driving progress. I studied Computer Systems Engineering at the University of Warwick. I enjoy both the hardware and software sides of system design and implementation, and I am searching for a career that will hopefully incorporate both. Being able to apply and improve my technical skills and develop my interpersonal skills are my main career goals going forward. I was previously employed as an FPGA Based Smart NICs intern at Intel, working with incredible people to help develop solutions for customers, as well as internal work. Here I applied Formal Verification techniques to evaluate HDL implementations, and worked with high speed digital designs to test external board components. Visit my website: steffan.me.uk
Working as part of the Student and Whānau Support team to enrol new students, responding to queries technical and pastoral over the phone, through email, and via the online application system. Attention to detail and being vigilant with the necessary steps are important to get everything right at an important time of year for enrolment, and in an important stage of education for many young people.
Using money saved up from my internship at Intel, summer work in 2023, and generally over the years; I travelled to Nepal to do a trek and test my physical limits. I then took time to take in the cultural locations in Kathmandu. After that I travelled to the Philippines for a relaxing beach holiday across several locations. Finally the trip got me to New Zealand to see family and start working while on a year long VISA.
Working with other team members to provide holiday activities for primary age children. Ensuring that children are fed and hydrated throughout the day. Providing fun activities and a safe environment for the children.
Formal Verification using SystemVerilog Assertions. Test bench design and implementation for hardware designs. Hardware design for FPGAs using Quartus and developing custom RTL. Simulation using Questasim (Modelsim).
