from 06/2019 * Development of semi-active dampers for current Mercedes-Benz C-Class (MRA2 / BR206) * Serial development for preceding platform MRA1 (C-, E-, CLS-, GLC-, EQC-Class) * Implementing design-changes in production-plants in Germany, Romania, China & USA, supporting responsible CQE with PPAP-documents, FMEA-updates * Solving technical issues concerning design that occur in production until 05/2019: * Leading an engineering team developing a fully active suspension-system for Mercedes-Benz (Mercedes-Benz Active Body Control / Magic Body Control) * Responsible for design from sampling phase to serial production * Co-operating with several departments, such as prototype-shop, testing, purchasing, quality (towards suppliers and customer), sales, project-management * Supporting manufacturing ramp-up in Sibiu (Romania) * Responsible person for all forged part (mainly clevises) at Bilstein; activities include checking drawings, PPAP-documents, solving design-issues
* Elaborating ideas for cost-saving and technical improvement of these components * Coordinating the project-team, steering and coordinating all interfaces (e.g. design, test, quality, purchasing department, suppliers and customer interfaces) * Introducing improvements elaborated with consideration of frame conditions * Using methods such as APQP, FMEA, and several problem solving techniques * Supporting the plant quality-department on internal and external quality claims * Planning procurement of new production tools and assembly-lines * Supporting assembly of these components in 8 assembly-lines at 4 international locations (Germany, Czech Republic, Canada, China)
* Designing and elaborating concepts for seat adjusters * Planning and supervising build-up of prototypes of these concepts * Presenting these prototypes (internally and to customers) * Specialist for gears and drive-systems (mainly spur, worm and spindle drives) * Designing, optimising, and dealing with quality-issues of metal and plastic drives
* Designing parts and assemblies, creating drawings for prototype build-ups and customer-drawings * Making tolerance stack-ups, investigating packaging and kinematics * Supporting at functional and NVH testing * Working at TRW LucasVarity Electric Steering Ltd. in Holford, England, for several weeks to support the local design-team in an international project
