About

My research fields are history and philosophy of modern and contemporary science (mainly physics) and technology, as well as methodological and epistemological issues related to: 1) divulgation / public understanding of science and technology and of their historical development, HPST and historically oriented didactics of techno-scientific disciplines in the high schools and at the University; 3) theoretical and applied museology and object-oriented STS; 4) historical epistemology, “objectivity” and “inscription” in scientific research; 5) material culture of science and technology; 6) explicit or tacit knowledge embodied in scientific practice; 7) historical reconstructions of instruments/experiments and “experimental” history of science. I'm interested in teaching and research at universities, institutes, museums, libraries, foundations and/or other cultural institutions. I'm also interested in editorial work and collaborations with newspapers, journals, and publishing houses. Settori di competenza: History of early modern mechanics, history of modern physics, philosophy and foundation of contemporary physics, history of 19th- and 20th-century historiography and philosophy of science.
