Management of change in the following areas Replacement of old servers with Blade and SAN technology utilising VMware. Moved production equipment to DR centre with failover systems in the company's warehouse. DR strategy and process. Introduction of Veeam back up and replication. Move to Kaspersky antivirus and implementation of group policy for all users. Introduction of performance monitoring software for hardware equipment. Switch Asian offices from in house servers to cloud hosting in Hong Kong.
Determine IT strategy - implement a common infrastructure and IT system across the group. Budget circa £8 million -responsible for 30 staff. In house designed and written bespoke ERP system supporting 800 users. Extensive utilisation of supply chain solutions with suppliers and customers. Integration of 13 different company acquisitions into the business system. Provision of a central data centre (circa 60 servers) and European network (circa 40 sites) Provision of fully redundant disaster recovery site with data replication and full network backup.
