I’m an Italian engineer experienced in Supply Chain improvement and lean manufacturing implementation. I had the possibility to grow in different sectors of business (cosmetics and make up, office products and tools, entertainment, home appliances) and manage important projects. Currently I'm exploring the fascinating and complex world of the Aerospace.
I am accountable for: -Investment Management: coordinating the CSST CapEx budget and monitoring for all the LH CSS&T Geos in cooperation with Finance, monitoring Infrastructures, Digital Solutions, Digital Tranformation -Business Management: link between geographic functions in terms of performance data and management reviews. I work with the Stakeholders (CSS&T VPs) to manage key performance indicators and recovery plans, key projects and management reviews -Process and Procedures Management: point of contact for Italy and Subsidiaries, Global Material Planning and Control, Simulation and Training with Quality System Team. Ensure that the data are properly recorded, maintained and managed, so that it is auditable, and useable, and meets any relevant legislation requirements which may apply. Support for Quality audit. -Risk Management: act as the Point of Contact for all CSS&T with Risk Management Team for managing Enterprise and Operational Risks and mitigation actions -Sustainability Management: act as the Point of Contact for all CSS&T with Sustainability Team; Project Manager for Full Flight Simulators (using Clarity tool)
With direct report to the Head of Logistic System, I’m accountable for designing logistic and transport solutions across all LHD geographies either in response of stakeholders’ requirements, including LHD customers and internal departments, or as a result of internal studies and improvement targets. The output produced may include: feasibility studies, layout of warehouses, turnkey logistic projects, flow redesign and logistic process improvements. In detail: - Material needs analysis - Logistic Innovation strategy - Logistic Modelling, technology and tools - Definition of Logistic Processes and Procedures - Managing operations performance improvement initiatives: improving processes, working methods/ practices - Problem Solving in Logistics Operations - Training to Customers or LHD employees when needed
In staff to the Head of Material Services & Planning, in Customer Support and Training Italy, I was in charge to: - Define and monitor improvement initiatives in Material Management and Supplier Management areas; - Create and implement tools to monitor the correct link between Customers Orderbook and Suppliers Orderbook; - Improve communication between Order Management and Material Management areas; - Create and implement tools to monitor day by day activities in Material Management and Supplier Management areas;
Footprint transformation of the Central European Spares Warehouse and continuous improvement: • enlargement from 20.000 to 45.000 sqm and tender for new shelves, equipment and structural changes • inbound and outbound processes redesign, including new logic in the information systems (SAP WM module and WMS) and radiofrequency implementation >>> improvement of operations efficiency, ergonomy and safety • in-housing of third party activities (re-packaging and kitting) >>> cost and lead time reduction • kpi’s implementation and monitoring • equipment maintenance management
Lean Manufacturing deployment in two refrigerators plants and related primary processes (metal stamping and painting, plastic injection moulding and vacuumation, evaporators, condensers): • coordination and monitoring of the major transformation projects and workshops (Layout Planning, Factory Master Plan, Loss Analysis, FMEA) • coordination of monthly kaizen events including trainings to the operators on 5S concepts • monthly 5S audit to check the level of cleaning, order and safety • workstations and production areas relayout to improve standardization and efficiency • Visual Management implementation • support to EMEA Whirlpool Center of Excellence on standard documents definition
Redesign of factory warehouses and workstations based on lean concepts: • creation of dynamic and static location and milkrun path in the warehouse • delivery strategies to the assembly lines (milkrun. kanban cards) • workstations relayout (new racking systems, Visual Management) • creation of heijunka boards for production planning • standard containers pooling implementation (from suppliers to the factory and viceversa) • SAP WM parameters definition and monitoring (stock, safety stock, supplier LT, batch)
