My underwriting lens comes from leading at scale across three domains: * Hyperscale infrastructure and security Built and led teams delivering mission-critical network and security infrastructure at extreme scale: carrier-grade networks serving millions of users, enterprise and retail deployments with thousands of branches, and data center networking within billion-plus programs. This shaped a reliability-first mindset and clear pattern recognition for what breaks at scale: architecture, operations, resilience engineering, and security as a first-order requirement. Technical depth is reinforced by 50+ industry certifications (including JNCIE and CISSP) and a bestselling book on network security. * Product-led growth and AI-first enablement As a product leader at DELL/Sonicwall, owned a firewall hardware business at multi-hundred-million annual revenue scale, spanning hardware plus adjacent software and services. At Juniper, built the system for partner-led enterprise adoption: ML-enabled configuration automation to make deployments repeatable, a global enablement engine (knowledge base and education), and commercial mechanics to scale delivery (packaging, incentives, contracting templates, and cross-functional fixes with finance and legal to remove revenue-recognition and taxation friction). Redesigning mechanisms so execution scales. * Transactions, ecosystems, and investor readiness Served on Juniper’s internal M&A deal team mandated to identify and evaluate VoIP acquisition targets, qualifying and presenting the Kagoor acquisition to the Board for approval (counsel executed the transaction). Built and managed strategic vendor and ecosystem relationships across Dell/SonicWall (including NVIDIA, Thales, A10, Gigamon, and others) and helped shape enterprise GTM strategy for moving SMB-rooted products into enterprise buying environments. In parallel, active over the last few years in startup scouting and diligence through an Austin angel network, sourcing, screening, and diligence support with an operator’s mindset. I am pursuing venture roles where sourcing and underwriting are core. Second priority is corporate development / M&A for technology acquisition. Also open to executive operator roles scaling AI products or leading AI-first transformation, especially where reliability, compliance, and operational reality determine success.
