Stefan Jos Louis Van Yper is the founder of SIBIT-Consult S.A., created in 2006 and is also the managing director of the company till now and doing consultancy projects that way since then. SIBIT-Consult SA stands for Science, Informatics, Bio-informatics and - Technology consultancy, covering a broad range of services going from general informatics support (both hard- and software (Linux & Windows)), to network and security management, to database administration and to data analysis with focus on bioinformatics/life sciences. Expertise with commercial software packages (OmniViz, ORACLE, Partek, PathwayStudio(+Medscan), PipelinePilot, Spotfire DXP, S+, STATA, SPSS, , ...) combined with expertise on their open source alternatives (e.g. GENEE, KEGG, MYSQL, R ...) and experience with serveral webtools and -resources (BROAD institute software, RSS-feeds/AWASU, Micropatent/USPTO/EPO, OVID, PUBMED/OMIM,...) allows developping suitable, cost and time efficient solutions for all analytical problems, both numerical and textual. For numerical analysis, strong experience on handling and integrating several types of high-throughput data is available (covering transcriptomics, miRNA/shRNA/RNAi/CRISPR_CAS9, genotyping, CopyNumber analysis, proteomics, metabolomics and other assays). Performed textual projects (on scientific articles, newsfeeds, patents, ...) include exploratory research, knowledge/fact extraction and developping classification systems. Finally expertise in integrating and handling datatypes like chemical structures, images (e.g. from confocal microscopy) and the knowledge to expand this to any additional datatypes and sources is available.
