During the last 20 years I’ve been working within the triangle composed of “Processes”, “Financials” and “Tools”, some years at every edge and in different roles. The fundamental basis was led by the studies of economics, industrial mathematics and computer science. After some years as General Manager of smaller companies (up to 100 employees), I decided in 2001 to change to an international consulting company. After some assignments I changed my career path and started working as manager in the Finance & IT area of utilities companies. Within Vattenfall I had various management positions in IT, Business Finance and Finance Services. Finally, I took over Subledger in the CFO area, consisting of the P2P & AR Business in Vattenfall for all countries/regions. We formed a new organisation, including a BPO towards Capgemini in India (P2P) and Poland (O2C) for the transactional part. 1st of May 2024 Vattenfall divested the Heat Business in Berlin and I decided to go with that part of the business. At BEW Berliner Energie und Wärme AG I set up a new organisation in the CFO area. Business Services will take care of all basic Finance processes, e.g. General Ledger Accounting, Fixed Assets Accounting, Subledger & the related process and system landscape.

SSC structure, delivering Finance & Accounting Services to all Vattenfall units
