I dedicated my career to the advancement of modern software engineering in the electrical and machine industry. I worked in many different roles: as software engineer, researcher, R&D project manager, software architect, team lead, consultant, program manager, sales person, lecturer, and professor; in organizations in industry and academia; with a wide range of systems from small-factor embedded systems with microsecond response times to large distributed systems; and within different domains: electrification, railway, industrial automation, etc. I show technical and managerial leadership and possess expert knowledge in change management and process improvement. I am an empathic listener with a hands-on attitude connecting R&D to business. At the moment, I am working with Red Hat to bring open source software and in particular Linux to the world's power grids.
