As President of Bayer’s Pharmaceutical division, I have the privilege to work alongside talented teams and passionate individuals to realize Bayer’s mission Health for All, Hunger for None, as well as our Pharma vision to Treat the Untreatable | Cure Disease | Offer Hope. Throughout my career, I’ve been fortunate to work in many countries, across functions, and therapeutic areas, inspired by the extraordinary progress of science and technology. My personal mission is to catalyze the translation of breakthrough research into real-world healthcare solutions that transform patients’ lives. I believe in the power of partnerships to overcome challenges and to capitalize on opportunities that help expand medical access and bring better health, well-being and prosperity to people around the world. As such, I see my appointment as President of the European Federation of Pharmaceutical Industries and Associations (EFPIA) as both a great honor and responsibility to collaborate with all relevant stakeholders to help ensure continued health, economic growth and security across the continent and beyond.
At the interface of business, science and clinics, the HealthCapital cluster management drives networking and the technology transfer in the region and supports the German and international companies interested in relocating to the German capital region. The cluster management is responsible for implementing the HealthCapital master plan of the state governments of Berlin and Brandenburg, and developing the region into one of the leading centers for the healthcare industries and life sciences in the world.
