Business Development for the customer service and external sales of Siemens Traction Components (Motors, Gear units, Inverters, Auxiliary Power Supplies, Pantographs).
P&L responsibility for managing the customer service business for Siemens traction drive systems in the US. Responsibilities include the business development of the repair and factory refurbishment of propulsion motors and gear units, spare parts sales for traction drives including inverters and train control. The service spans a wide range of products with multiple direct reports across 3 locations in the US. The products include transit bus (hybrid and all electric)applications, light- and heavy rail propulsion systems, locomotive propulsion systems, large mining truck wheel motors and alternators.
P&L responsibility for the electrical e-house manufacturing and electrical control panel business. Responsibility included the integration of PLC's, power station control systems, integration of excitation system and static frequency converters into e-houses, signalling and wayside control systems for passenger rail applications.
Managed large drives projects for applications in the power generation industry, specifically Static Frequency Converters for gas turbine start up, static excitation sytems for synchronous generators, voltage controllers for generators. Responsible for the engineering and manufacture of excitation sytems for retrofit applications.
Order management and manufacturing engineering manager for traction inverters used on passenger trains (light rail, heavy rail), high speed trains (ICE), freight and passenger locomotives and rail coaches.
