My role beholds the steering, guiding and supporting a number of project managers that manage several projects in separate division portfolios and (assist in) reporting to the key stakeholders. With my Project Management background in concept, design, execution and hand-over processes my project assessments lead to organizational structure enhancements, improved risk management and risk mitigation to provide the business with full control over several projects. I am an active member of the Etex Engineering Leadership Team and coach a strong team of civil and utility engineers.
In this role I was in the lead of the civil works of the Etex Bristol Expansion Project, a greenfield project next to our existing plant where we've constructed a completely new facility (natural gypsum infeed conveyors, RMP, calcination workshop, boardline, equipment, new warehouse & logistical hub, ...). My duties include contract ownership for the civil works and the design processes for civils, reporting to the senior management, identify risks and put mitigation measures in place when necessary. In charge of an experienced site and project management team of local and global Etex colleagues and additional consultants. Together with my counterpart in equipment we managed the inderdependencies and interface between civils and equipment both technically and scheduling wise.
In this role I've shared my expertise in project management, conceptual and functional project design and cost reduction techniques with global and local project teams across the world. Besides my technical role I was an active member of the engineering leadership team and coach a strong team of electrical and mechanical designers.
- Overseeing major CAPEX construction/facility projects from start to finish up to € 48M; - Identifying and collecting possible technical constraints; - Translating the needs of the business into technical specifications; - Initiating preliminary studies and complex tendering processes; - Complete care of follow-up of the execution onsite; - Make sure scope, timing and budget go along with the lowest TCO possible; - Communicate intensively with all stakeholders and management; - Manage the necessary resources; - Always keep a greener future in mind;
- Piloting several construction projects up to € 25M; - Playing a key role as SPOC for the client; - Authorized to solely represent the general contractor throughout the project; - Reporting to Technical Director; - Leading a dedicated project team consisting of site managers, planners, buyers and engineers; - Working for private & public clients; - Main branche: Utility Construction, Public Contracts, Design & Build format;
- Piloting several construction projects up to € 4M; - Playing a key role as SPOC for the client; - Authorized to solely represent the general contractor throughout the project; - Reporting to Project Director; - Leading a project team consisting of site manager and workers; - Working for private & public clients; - Main branche: Utility Construction, Restoration, Renovation, Public Contracts;
