The CORIUS Group was founded in 2017 with the aim of becoming the largest cross-regional network of partner practices and clinics in dermatology and phlebology. Its tailored succession models and comprehensive administrative support allow professionals to focus on what’s most important in a practice: high-quality care, with patients’ best interests at heart. Corius is the leading group of dermatology and phlebology practices in the German-speaking region and has garnered a reputation for providing a wide range of exceptional services. The company's goal is to become the leading group in Europe. Hence, Corius makes a significant contribution to nationwide medical care in both urban and rural areas. In February 2018 an experienced management team was installed to further the development of Corius, at which point I exited as part of the executive team. I remained shareholder until April 2022.
In September 2021, Medivet Group Holdings Limited and Grupo Veterinario KITICAN announced a strategic partnership agreement between the two veterinary groups, which also saw Medivet invest in the Kitican business to boost the Company’s growth in Spain and strengthen its operations. Kitican is the third largest veterinary group in Spain and delivers a full suite of companion pet health services including routine check-ups, emergency care, lab & diagnostics and advanced surgery. The group has grown a strong and loyal client base by focusing on the delivery of high quality care through its network of experienced clinicians, well equipped hospitals and specialist clinics. I became a shareholder of Kitican in July of 2019 and a board director during 2020. I resigned my position and sold my participation in September 2021.
In July of 2021, WIIT S.p.A. (“WIIT” or the “Company”; ISIN IT0005440893; WIIT.MI), a leading European player in the Cloud Computing market for businesses, agreed to acquire 100% of the share capital of Mivitec GmbH (“Mivitec”), a German cloud operator specialising in managed services for businesses, with registered office in Munich, through its German subsidiary myLoc managed IT AG (“myLoc”) MIVITEC was founded in 1996 and since 2003 focusses on the provision of secure, flexible and reliable IT services for business customers (B2B). MIVITEC operates three datacentres in Munich. Continuous investments into technology, availability and security of its facilities allowed MIVITEC to enhance its market position.
In July of 2020, Infracapital, the infrastructure equity investment arm of M&G, agreed to acquire Breitbandversorgung Deutschland (“BBV”), a fibre network operator in Southern Germany from RiverRock, an alternative investment firm, and private minority investors. BBV Deutschland GmbH, based near Frankfurt, is engaged in the build-out of fibre optic networks in Germany. BBV Deutschland GmbH is the holding coordinating activities with communities and municipal utilities (Stadtwerke) to build fibre optic networks (FTTH) in underserved areas in Germany. The core competencies of the company include the planning, marketing and delivery of powerful and pioneering fibre networks, often in partnership with municipalities. At the time of its sale, the company had built a network covering 33,000 premises in the federal states of Thuringia and Baden-Württemberg.
