  • L'OREAL LUXE COUNTRY GENERAL MANAGER at L'OREAL LUXE division POLAND
    Jul 2005 - Sep 2011 · 6 yrs 3 mos

Time to develop L'Oréal luxe core business model. I was asked to develop the full portfolio of brands in an emerging market: Poland. L'Oreal luxe had a strong market share and presence there. The challenge was to grow faster and gain a new momentum. Therefore we needed to grow the cake by fostering market premiumness, optimising brand segmentation in the market while developing alternative shopping experience. I forged and lead a team of experts in luxury (retail design, digital, training, PR...). I built an alternative partnership with clients (Douglas, Sephora, Marionnaud) disrupting the market codes in order to create a global premium environment in an emerging market. I re-organized brands in their new territories and launched brands such as Yves Saint Laurent I optimized the P+L by brand and product valorisation in order to generate substantial increase in profitability (profit went from a being 55% lower than average to being 30% over average). Retail sales +50 M€, 10 brands, + 40 staff.

  • BIOTHERM INTERNATIONAL STRATEGIC BRAND DEVELOPMENT DIRECTOR for the Americas at L'OREAL LUXE (Head Office)
    Jan 2001 - Jun 2005 · 4 yrs 6 mos

Thanks to the start up experience in the Americas, and after many years of absence in one of the most competitive market in cosmetics, I was in charge of re-launching the brand in the USA and developing it in Latin America. The mix included developing a new category of products: make up and a new distribution channel: e-com site and adjusting existing proposition to the US specificities. It involved influential and distance management with head office and the local teams, adjusting retail design and brand expression specificities from a perfumery type of market to the Department Store market.
