As Senior Procurement Partner for the Plant-Based category with four factories across Europe, Stef is leading a team of Procurement Partners and Officers across four European factories. He is accountable for delivering cost optimization with suppliers and ensuring security of supply throughout the network, while overseeing operational procurement activities. These two pillars are fundamental to executing Danone’s Global Procurement Strategy and driving sustainable value creation.
As Junior Consultant in Sourcing and Procurement, Stef supported consultancy projects and was active as a Catagory Buyer in various sectors, such as Pharmaceuticals, Healthcare and Public. He received intensive training and obtained several certifications.
As Procurement Packaging Manager for the Plant Based category with four factories across Europe, Stef leads the procurement packaging team. He himself is responsible and accountable for identifying opportunities for cost savings and improvements in sustainability performance for packaging materials, and for the implementation together with the multidisciplinary team. He also manages the business continuity performance of the supplier base and initiates projects for improvement.
As an experienced Senior Consultant, Stef developed a Sustainable Procurement service offering for Deloitte Belgium to market. He developed a maturity model to assess sustainable procurement performance and defined improvement actions for each of the pillars. Besides developing a service offering, he guided clients in designing sustainable procurement strategies and operational models, developed an ESG risk assessment for procurement and a roadmap to improve EcoVadis performance. He was mainly active in the Consultancy, IT and Government sectors.
As Senior Consultant in Sourcing and Procurement, Stef was involved in procurement projects at strategic level in developing operational models, excellence roadmaps and category strategies within various industries. He also held operational positions within various companies as sourcing manager or procurement project leader. He was mainly active in the pharmaceutical, telecom and government industries.
As Procurement Productivity & BCP Manager for Rotselaar Dairy factory, Stef was responsible for identifying opportunities for cost savings and sustainability performance improvements for direct materials (packaging and ingredients). He also managed the business continuity performance of the supplier base and initiated projects for improvement.
My junior consulting project for Zenith Automotive and OTM consists of four procurement projects: 1. Setting up a Category Management Plan following the merger of Zenith Automotive and OTM 2. Optimising the category strategy for office supplies and contracting a new supplier through a tender process 3. Analysing the use of corrugated packaging tubes, optimising them and implementing the KANBAN methodology in the warehouse. 4. Tender solar panels and printers

Part of the board as co-lead of Young Supply Chain Masters.
