A stop in China as Head of Asian Consumables Supply brought me to one of the most interesting tasks as plant manager [Vice President Manufacturing] with Hilti Manufacturing India. Oversaw all operations including production, supply and logistics functions. Collaborated with 3 other executives in development, sales and finance to guide the overall strategy of the organization. Controlled the operations of 3 plants in Navsari, Gujarat with 500+ employees. In 2010 Bert met his now wife - a US citizen - and moved to USA in 2011. This was a great opportunity to extend his horizon and learning about the american culture in various functions over the last five years after working and travelling extensive in Europe and Asia.
After several hospitalizations and 2 years waiting I got new lungs on October 1st 2021. Another 4 month in hospital including 6 weeks of intensive care and several month of REHA I'm back in life and ready for a new challenge.
