About

Currently a postdoctoral scientist at A*STAR Infectious Diseases Labs, Singapore in the lab of Teo Teck Hui, recently awarded the NCID Catalyst Grant to continue work on gut pathology in hypervirulent Klebsiella pneumoniae infections. I obtained my PhD from University College London, having worked at the Francis Crick Institute on host-pathogen interactions between Mycobacterium tuberculosis and airway epithelial cells. This work was supervised by Robert Wilkinson and Robert Heyderman. My subsequent postdoctoral work with Rachel Lai at Imperial College London was on single-cell RNA-Seq of cerebrospinal fluid from TB meningitis patients enrolled in the INTENSE-TBM trial. I then moved to Pablo Bifani's lab where I worked on assay development for novel antibiotic discovery. I have a broad range of expertise in pathogen work, including in high containment environments. My research interests include developing infection models, single-cell transcriptomics and assay development.
