๐ Remote Sensing & Climate Research | Geospatial Analyst | Urban Environment Studies I am a geospatial professional with hands-on experience in remote sensing, climate data analysis, and urban environmental research. My work focuses on using satellite imagery and data-driven methods to understand land use changes, water body dynamics, urban climate zones, and environmental vulnerability. Current Role At Politecnico di Milano, I work as a Research Fellow, developing Local Climate Zone (LCZ) maps using hyperspectral (PRISMA) and multispectral (Sentinel-2) satellite imagery. I apply image pre-processing, PCA for dimensionality reduction, and Random Forest classification integrated with Urban Canopy Parameters (UCPs) to better classify built-up and natural land cover types. Previous Experience Highlights ๐น ISRO โ National Remote Sensing Centre: Developed the Urban Water Body Information System (UWaIS); analyzed the impact of urbanization, Urban Green Spaces and Land Surface Temperature (LST) ๐น Kerala State Remote Sensing and Environment Centre: Used MODFLOW and groundwater modeling, conducted environmental impact assessments, and integrated hydro-climatic data for surface water and groundwater studies. ๐น Center for Environment Education Development (CEED): Studied future climate scenarios using SSPs and satellite datasets; analyzed the impact of changing climate variables on ecosystems and water cycles. ๐น Internships at IIST and KUFOS: Gained experience in geomorphology mapping, mineral detection, and LULC classification using machine learning techniques.
