Sridhar is a statured, well-regarded leader in the Pharmaceutical industry. He is the former Country President of Pfizer Limited. Over the years, Sridhar has successfully led the Pfizer business through its various stages of business growth, innovation, advent of new therapies and patient impact. After a rewarding stint with Pfizer, Sridhar has decided to opt for an early retirement effective May 2023 to explore and experience advisory roles/ assignments and or board positions. Sridhar joined Pfizer in June 2008 and in his fifteen years of working in Pfizer has held multiple positions Viz CFO, Business unit head and Country President. Prior to this he spent about 13 years in Diageo India where his last role (May 2008) was that of Finance Director. Sridhar is a Chartered Account (1993) and has unique experience spanning over 30 years in both the business and finance area. Sridhar also had an opportunity to lead Organisation of Pharmaceutical Producers of India (OPPI), an association of Research based organisations in India as President and has also been the Chair of the Pharmaceutical committee of FICCI. Sridhar’s experience and expertise encompasses Business Growth Strategy & Execution, Mergers / Acquisitions, Joint Ventures / Partnerships, Business restructuring, Process re-engineering & cost management, Crisis management, Culture and people development. Sridhar is very passionate about his contributions to society and is invested in several initiatives both personally and professionally. Sridhar’s personal leadership stand reads as “I am a purpose driven leader, making Difficult – Easy, Complex – Simple and Near Impossible – Possible”. His purpose in life is “Add Value” to everyone and everything around him though business partnerships, people development and living a healthy life.

I lead Pfizer India’s entire commercial operations; from driving exponential growth in Adult Vaccination, broad-basing Oncology patient base, to developing a go-to-market strategy for Hemophilia and strategic actions to improve availability and affordability leveraging pricing and access. As a socially responsible corporate, we have partnered with apex government organizations to transform the healthcare outlook for the country. Our partnership with the ICMR on combat Antimicrobial Resistance and IIT Delhi on fostering innovation in healthcare has helped us get closer to our mission of keeping Patients’ First. All this while I have attempted to unleash the power of our people and bring alive our value of joy in everything we do.
Developed “Leadership in Hospital” (SIDE – Segmentation, Intervention, Differentiation and Expansion) strategy by Portfolio contracting and Key Account Management for private hospitals. Also launched Pfizer India’s First Digital Video Detailing. Managed ~$ 70 mio business as part of Pfizer Global established business as well as the outward supply chain for the entire Pfizer commercial business in India.
At Diageo, the world’s leading premium drinks company, created a unique “Industry Profit Pool” model, which was the foundation for development of various strategic initiatives in India for the company. Was a core member to develop India Strategy paper to induce investment into India in terms of India being a BRIC Economy. Strategized, commercialized and set up a joint venture in India with a leading Indian company to deal in lower value alcoholic beverages. Supported EU and Scotch Whisky association in India in representing to Federal and State Governments on the rationalization of the tax structure for imported spirits. Helped mitigate some significant tax challenges and handled Due Diligence of the Domestic Whisky business at the time of hive offs by Diageo.
