My journey in engineering has always been driven by one simple belief i.e, machines should make life easier for the people who depend on them. That belief grew stronger during my years building ATVs for BAJA SAE India, where I learned what it means to design for the real world for rough terrain, unpredictable loads. Those long nights perfecting our vehicle and leading my team as Captain taught me the value of persistence, teamwork, and engineering that doesn’t quit. Today, I carry that same spirit into my role in the Farm Equipment Division – R&D. Here, my work revolves around taking ideas from concept to field-ready solutions: the kind that improve efficiency, reduce downtime, and genuinely support the people who rely on our machines. What motivates me most is knowing that every decision in R&D affects the customer directly. These improvements matter on the field, far away from conference rooms and CAD screens. What makes it all meaningful is knowing that the work I do touches agriculture, a field that sustains millions of lives. I genuinely feel grateful that my engineering efforts in some small way help farmers work more efficiently and with more confidence. Supporting agriculture through technology is something I take pride in every day.
•Work in mechanical design and development of components, sub-assemblies, and systems for new farm implement products. •Create detailed 3D CAD models, assemblies, and manufacturing drawings using Creo. •Perform engineering calculations to ensure strength, durability, reliability, and performance under field operating conditions. •Collaborate with cross-functional teams including NPD, manufacturing, quality, testing, and sourcing to ensure a smooth design-to-production transition. •Support prototype development through hands-on assembly, fit-up checks, troubleshooting, and design iteration based on test observations. •Participate in field and laboratory testing, analyse performance data, identify failure modes, and optimize designs for improved functionality and service life. •Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on performance enhancement, cost optimization, weight reduction, and manufacturability improvements. •Conduct benchmarking and design reviews to incorporate best practices and improve product competitiveness.
Serving as a member of the BAJA SAEINDIA Alumni Committee, I take an active role in strengthening the BAJA SAEINDIA ecosystem that shaped my engineering journey. • Judges Coordination: Lead coordination with industry professionals serving as judges, managing invitations, communication, scheduling, and ensuring smooth execution of evaluation processes across events. • Social Media & Press Outreach: Support social media and press initiatives by coordinating guest invitations, drafting press releases, and promoting event highlights to enhance industry engagement and visibility of BAJA SAEINDIA.
As the Team Captain of Prometheans Off-Road Racing Club, I am entrusted with the responsibility of leading a passionate and dedicated team of off-road enthusiasts. My role involves strategizing, coordinating, and motivating team members to achieve peak performance on and off the track. I oversee all aspects of team operations, including design, manufacturing, race planning, vehicle maintenance and driver training.
Prometheans is the official off road racing team of Thiagarajar College of engineering, formed with an aim of bringing together talent and hard work. We brought together those who were inclined towards learning and implementing what was learnt with zeal and passion.
