• Developed and implemented daily lesson plans for a diverse group of middle school students for Social Studies, Reading Acceleration, and Pre-Algebra. • Established a yearly email exchange for students with Wen Hui Middle School in Hangzhou, China. • Initiated various community service-learning projects with classes including, but not limited to, creating children’s books for struggling readers, collecting funds in response to the natural disasters in Haiti and Japan, as well as raising awareness and collecting supplies for the homeless in central Massachusetts. • Assisted in creating a World Cultures course by interviewing publishers at the 2010 National Council for the Social Studies conference. Collaborated with the Social Studies department to create the curriculum and pilot the course in its initial year.
