Retired Kaspersky endpoint protect and Cisco VPN client, in favor agentless protection from Bit Defender Gravity zone, and an Active Directory integrated OpenVPN solution. Integrated Xen Orchestra and QNAP Cloud Connector to create an automated 3-2-1 backup system that archived backups in Amazon Glacier for 90 days.
Managed first level and escalated technical support, product deployments, and the integration of new systems into company operations, optimized and automated processes, and received three company wide recognitions for outstanding performance, for a leading cloud services provider. Planned and deployed a new active directory utilizing secure privileged access principles and secure bastions to provide an enhanced security administrative environment, improve security posture, and mitigate 94% of all critical Microsoft vulnerabilities by restricting admin rights. System Security Monitored security updates, articles, and CVE’s for information on potential vulnerabilities with no known patches, and developed plans to identify, mitigate, resolve these issues as Tier II Engineer. Created procedures for monthly patches to improve functionality and security as Tier II Engineer. Planned and deployed DKIM and DMARC to reduce spoofing and improve email authentication. Technical Support Provided Tier II support for 30 tickets per month and issues with five products and 10 client systems, conducted investigations, reviewed changes, researched solutions, and escalated tickets as needed. Process & Solutions Development Created scripts in PowerShell and powercli to automate the gathering of system data and identify issues, which reduced the process by two hours of research per week as Tier II Engineer. System & Environment Integration Led the deployment of environments for 30+ new customers, assessed the technical infrastructure and requirements, determined configurations for products, VMWare, and Veeam usage, and facilitated sales. Analyzed client environments and integrated products without disrupting operations, identified conflicts, adjusted hardware, hosts, firewalls, and VPNs, and rebuilt architecture from the ground up as necessary.
