Sophie Mabille chose the image as a way to transcend the banality of daily life, through its objects, characters, landscapes and buildings. Recently, the artist has found herself drawn to materials such as resin, paint, concrete as a means to escape from the two-dimensional aspect of images, from their fragility: the desire to create a physical and tactile relationship with the work, for the image to become sculpture.
