As the HR Country manager I drive country HR strategy and operations with close partnership with our site management teams and as part of the Finnish leadership team. In the global context, I support, work closely with HR Shared Services to ensure seamless delivery, collaborate with and support global HR teams, incl. In addition to leading several strategic HR projects, my primary responsibilities include ensuring and driving the Wärtsilä employee experience throughout the entire employee journey and lifecycle, including our digital MyHR portal. I have revamped our Employee Engagement strategy, process, and content to ensure a fit-for-purpose approach with updated methodology and questions. Additionally, I am spearheading the renewal of our Performance Management through a global program involving all 2,500 Line Managers, the operational model renewal for Talent Acquisition, employee listening and engagement (including measurement, strategy, and tactics), and the modernization of our Onboarding and Offboarding processes, including technology implementation. Furthermore, I am focused on enhancing Internal Career Mobility by implementing a framework and various concepts utilizing data-driven decision-making. Key focus areas also include top talent development, strategic workforce planning, employer branding, and employee retention. HR communications and change management are an integral part of my role. I currently lead the HR communications and work closely with Group and business communications.
Wärtsilä HR is accelerating its ambitious transformation and strengthening its strategic alignment with the businesses, becoming more people-centric, creating and strengthening new ways of working and leader led culture. As part a member of the HR leadership team, my role was to act as a driver for the success of the HR Transformation, ensuring the alignment of our operating model and redesigned process implementation and People Strategy driven development efforts to the overall transformation roadmap, as well as ensuring overall prioritisation, scope and impact. The transformation office works closely with the wider HR organisation – CoEs, BHR as well as our People Services organisation – taking on responsibility for bringing transparency and focus to the transformation program roadmap through effective sequencing of activities, ensuring key milestones are met and resources are allocated effectively. I have ownership for establishing success metrics for the overall transformation and reporting on their progress as well as creating and executing effective and systematic risk and change management strategies. - As part of the HR Leadership team, led the HR Transformation office through a complex and extensive HR transformation including operational model, organization, resourcing and role renewals. - Balanced between strategic planning and paced execution, taking ownership of the HR transformation master plan and driving its execution together with the CoEs, BHR, and our People Service organisation as well as business stakeholders. - Worked closely with EVP HR, supporting in all tasks related to HR leadership team development and governance. - Transformed our overall HR communication practices, channels, and ways of working. - Created and implemented change management leadership, practices, methodology as well as a training programme for HR.
