Singapore
I last worked at Dementia Singapore (DSG), Singaporeβs leading Social Service Agency (SSA) specialised dementia care. My foray into dementia care was inspired by the time caring for my father who had Alzheimer's Disease before he passed away in 2019. I was excited to have the opportunity to work with youths to advocate dementia care in my capacity as a Senior Programme Executive in Youth Outreach, and grateful to be tapping into my experience as a former educator and caregiver for this role. My previous stint was a support officer for the German Embassy in Singapore, assisting with research, press matters and social media. I wrote speeches for the Ambassador and was directly involved in planning events that supported bilateral relations between Singapore and Germany, Apart from teaching, I also explored other roles in education, such as in research, publishing and student service. Throughout my stints in education, I sought to empower youths with the soft skills and knowledge to think critically about the world around us. I am also a volunteer blogger for an elderly home and enjoy writing articles on health, ageing and life in general. Most of all, I love telling a good story! Currently, I seek a position in which I can make use of my English language skills, and to conduct outreach to youths.
I supported the German Embassy on matters such as organising events, posting on social media and carrying out research. I also carried out press reviews daily on newsworthy articles related to culture, politics, business and economics. My role also included writing speeches for the Ambassador and Deputy Chief of Mission.
