I am currently working as a PhD Research Fellow at the University of Bergen. Hailing from Denmark, I hold an undergraduate degree (M.A Honours) in Politics and International Relations from the University of Aberdeen and a Master's Degree (M.A) in Intercultural Encounters from the University of Helsinki. In my free time, I work and volunteer with a range of different activities and I have volunteered in the sexual health sector for 5+ years.
I work in the ‘Contested Knowledges in and through Asylum Litigation (ASYKNOW)’-project, where we research contestation of (expert) knowledge in asylum litigation in Scandinavia and Germany. I conduct ethnographic fieldwork across Denmark and Sweden.
Unibuddy gives prospects real-time access to real people at the university they are interested in. As an Unibuddy ambassador, I wrote high quality, relatable and high performing blog copy in English and Swedish, and answered online chat queries from prospective students with the goal of promoting and maintaining an attractive university brand for one of the world's best research universities. My blog entries (listed below) have been along some of the most high performing on the University of Helsinki Unibuddy-platform, gathering more than 15K views altogether.
In this role, I performed a variety of diverse tasks related to marketing and customer management. Brand image (related to early stage growth): Creating and visualising our pitch deck and all presentation materials, providing feedback on new website, building mission and vision statements and aligning copy and visuals with these. Growth: I created a company LinkedIn & steadily increased following and engagement (the number of followers grew by 118% during my contract), content creation, creating and testing a growth hacking playbook. Project management: Organising and streamlining content in Trello. CRM: Managing and following up on leads in Pipedrive, prospect and sales tracking.
DEI Forum Nordics is creating the first DEI conference in the Nordics, a space where speakers and participants from diverse backgrounds can share thought-provoking conversations about DEI in society and in the workplace. The first DEI Forum Nordics was held on September 30th 2022 in Helsinki. I form part of the Partnerships team where I coordinate a number of partnerships with external companies and actors, both monetary partnerships and 'in kind'-partnerships. DEI Forum Nordics is an initiative powered by BusinessWiz, one of the leading B2B Diversity, Equity & Inclusion (DEI) service providers in the Nordics.
