- Designed and conducted field, greenhouse, and lab experiments to assess differences in heat sensitivity of an endemic versus foreign pathogen in the Silene-Microbotryum pathosystem, to predict changes in competitive outcome and potential changes in disease distribution in wild populations - Carried out fieldwork in Italy, collecting pathogen samples, surveying host populations, assisting with pollinator field experiments, and collaborating with scientists from other universities - Conducted laboratory work including making labels and soil, counting, sterilizing, plating, and planting seeds, inoculating and transplanting seedlings, randomizing plants, and scoring for disease
