Operational Lead for the medical communications department at Modis. Overseeing delivery of Medical Communication projects (manuscripts, congress activities, graphical assets, videos) for clients in the pharmaceutical sector, serving as the single point of contact for clients and fostering excellence and innovation within the medical communication teams at Modis.
Managed delivery of medical publications (manuscripts, abstracts, poster and oral presentations, audioslides and dynamic figures). Provided editorial support during publication development. Managed stakeholder communication and coordinated the set up of a Publication Steering Comittee (PSC).
Provided expertise on retinal cell biology to the LMRI as a consultant. Wrote white papers for the bi-annual LMRI meetings.
American Diabetes Association (ADA) Research Fellow. Investigated the role of inflammatory processes in retinal neovascular and neurodegenerative diseases (diabetic retinopathy and age-related macular degeneration). Research focused on microglia/macrophage-endothelial cell interactions in vascular maintenance and neuroprotection in the retina. Teaching science to kindergarten children (4-6 years of age). Activities focused on teaching children how to construct simple hypotheses (e.g. does this object float? why?), how to think about basic scientific concepts (e.g. observation, logic thinking) and how to report and/or draw scientific observations.
