I work as a sustianability specialist at Albemarle Corporation. I lead my company's environmental data collection for my regional sites and work with sites to improve environmental performance. I have bachelor's degrees in chemical engineering (with a sustainability concentration) and Spanish from North Carolina State University. I am currently pursuing a Professional Science Master's degree in environmental science from Oregon State University.
Developed a proxy model tool for internal product carbon footprint calculations. Project managed the development of our 2022 Sustainability Report and our 2023 EcoVadis submission.
Recruited new engineering students to NC State by speaking at information sessions and accepted student events. Led STEM outreach at local K-12 schools and kids museums. Conducted R&D analysis for reusable and durable packaging for the company's online shopping platform, Loop. Analyzed on impact energies of glass packaging, temperatures of ice cream being shipped through the platform, and quality and durability of the Loop tote. Developed testing procedures and performed Phase 1 testing on durable containers looking to enter the Loop platform.
