Turning Complexity into Clarity — in Books, Strategy & Leadership. For more than four decades I’ve pursued two passions side by side: authorship and PAF Consultany. As an author, I’ve written and self-published 86 (and counting) non-fiction and fiction titles, ranging from sport to computer programming. My books are known for their clarity and accessibility, helping readers take on new subjects with confidence. In parallel, I’ve built a strong track record in the stadium and events industry. I was invited in 1999 to establish Cleanevent UK, which under my leadership became a major market player servicing iconic venues such as Wimbledon AETC, Arsenal FC and Wembley Stadium. Before that, I contributed to the first global facilities magazine aimed at stadium and arena managers. My consultancy work has also included creating business-winning documentation for high-profile clients across Australia and the UK — from the Olympic Games to world-class sport and music events. Across both paths, the common thread is clear: I specialise in making complex ideas understandable, compelling, and effective — whether on the page, in strategy, or in practice.
Over the past 20 years I’ve balanced two passions: writing and facility consultancy. As an author, I’ve written and self-published a wide range of books on sport and computer programming, known for their clarity and accessibility. At the same time, I’ve worked with major companies across Australia and the UK, creating business-winning documents for high-profile projects — including the Olympic Games and world-class sport and music events. Whether through books or consultancy, my focus has always been on making complex ideas clear, compelling, and effective.
In late 1999, the Cleanevent company founder courted me to establish a new UK arm of his business. Over the next four years, I established the business and grew it to become a prominent company in the UK market, servicing international blue chip and icon venues such as Wimbledon and Wembley Stadium. Under my stewardship, the business grew from a start-up to a major UK player.
