United Kingdom
I’ve had a varied career in tech since 1994. I’ve put newspapers online, helped launch the world’s first Mobile Virtual Network Operator (Virgin Mobile), founded a hyperlocal data publisher (Upmystreet, dead now, but big in the UK back in the day), co-founded a digital printing company that people still love (MOO.com), launched classified sites in Kenya and Nigeria (OLX), and was COO of an elder care startup ( http://www.ceracare.co.uk). I also helped found the civic organisations https://openrightsgroup.org , https://theyworkforyou.com and https://writetothem.com. Current/future areas of interest: * Security/Privacy. Especially personal security in a world where targeted personal attack techniques have become mainstream tools. * Logistics, scaling, process optimisation (distribution, manufacturing) Historic areas of interest: * E-commerce/Classifieds * Localism * Digital Printing/On demand * Healthcare
