As a school counselor, I am experienced in providing strengths-based counseling, facilitating small group work, and teaching social and emotional curricula. I utilize my counseling and conflict mediation skills to create safe, inclusive spaces where everyone feels they belong.
- Provide individual therapy and work with students in small groups - Design, plan, and teach wellness, social emotional learning curriculum - Offer consultation, strategies, and curriculum resources to administration and faculty
● Provide in-home and family therapy to children, adolescents, and caregivers ● Provide strengths-based, trauma-informed counseling services ● Offer consultative services to schools focused on supporting a client’s SEL and academic wellbeing ● Review neuropsychological evaluations and Individualized Education Program (IEP) plans and support schools and caregivers in implementing recommendations
• Create and lead team-building, leadership development, conflict resolution and problem-solving activities for the Challenge program • Identify group strengths and challenge members to hone their skills • Lead visiting groups through debrief activities
• Deliver quality day-long programs with community partners • Facilitate games, initiatives, and low and high ropes course programming • Lead adventure activities that build social and emotional skills through purposeful play, teambuilding, and adventures in and outside the classroom • Lead professional development to help community partners build skills such as group management, designing intentional activities, and reflection
- Serve on the leadership team and provide staff trainings and supervision - Support the physical, social, and emotional health, safety, and well-being of campers and staff - Observe and document camper situations and incidents, design behavior intervention plans and monitor and report progress - Communicate with caregivers to resolve issues, share information, and develop support plans
