Led product marketing for Backblaze B2 Cloud Storage during critical pre-IPO growth phase — built competitive positioning against Amazon S3, drove media & entertainment vertical adoption, and created the content engine that fueled investor narratives and brand credibility. At Symply our mission was to make the fastest storage for media and entertainment workstations using Thunderbolt Technology. Typical of startups, I not only ran product marketing and business development but helped build CSS/AngularJS front ends for Symply software and management dashboards, Symply's websites and full-stack customer and reseller management web apps.
At Quantum I led Technical Marketing for Media and Entertainment and beyond into HPC, Federal and Government segments worldwide. At every step, my mission was to evangelize and drive best practices and new workflows to deliver ultra-high resolution content on a global scale, while carving out new roles and best practices for Cloud and Object Storage Technologies and the StorNext file system. Whether as an individual contributor, or managing a team - I oversaw and built a wide range of content that ensured that customers were excited by new offerings, sales and that the channel could confidently message and position products with immediate impact to sales pipeline and revenue.
