Hello! My name is Siya Puri, and I am a second-year Accounting student at Toronto Metropolitan University (TMU) with a strong interest in accounting, leadership, and professional development. From my first year onward, I made it a priority to pair my academics with meaningful extracurricular involvement. I began as a Breakthrough Mentee, where I strengthened my skills in networking, professional etiquette, and case competitions. I also served as an Ambassador for the Human Resources Student Association and Women in Leadership TMU, leading an ambassador-run project and gaining hands-on leadership experience. I am currently the Vice President of Finance at AIESEC in TMU, where I oversee financial planning, budgeting, and strategic decision-making to support organizational growth. Previously, I served as an HR Development Manager, which gave me a strong foundation in people management and leadership development. In addition to my campus involvement, I am a Co-op student in the Independent Business Group at Doane Grant Thornton, where I am gaining practical experience in accounting, business advisory, and client-focused work. I also enjoy giving back to the TMU community as a TedPack Mentor, supporting first-year students in their transition to university life. I am passionate about leadership, accounting, and continuous learning, and I am always open to connecting with others who share similar interests.
