- Accompany emergency room physicians during patient examinations to accurately document all aspects of the medical visit in real-time, including patient history, physical exams, diagnostic findings, and treatment plans. - Enter information into electronic health records (EHR) promptly and efficiently to ensure that all relevant data is accessible to the medical team. - Assist physicians with retrieving historical medical records and laboratory results to expedite decision-making and patient care. - Facilitate communication between the emergency department staff by relaying important information from the physician to nurses and other medical personnel involved in patient care. - Manage and organize patient flow by keeping track of pending lab results, diagnostic tests, and consultations with specialists
- Respond to emergency calls to provide efficient and immediate care to the critically ill and injured, and transport patients to medical facilities. - Assess the condition of patients and determine a course of treatment following established emergency response procedures. - Operate emergency equipment such as medical monitors, defibrillators, and ventilators, and administer basic and advanced life support to patients at the scene, en route to the hospital, and in a pre-hospital setting. - Maintain a clean, organized, and stocked ambulance and ensure all equipment is in working order. - Document medical care given to patients during transport and communicate with hospital personnel to prepare for patient arrival. - Participate in continuous training and drills to enhance emergency medical skills and stay updated with the latest protocols and practices.
