I Plan all my lessons based on the needs of the students. As a student myself I know when I have come out of a teaching session feeling enriched with knowledge and what the teacher did in order for me to feel this way. I strive in every session that I teach to ensure my students not only learn the content in question but also go away with the tools to be self-sufficient learners.
