I am chair of Winston & Strawn’s Asia practice and a partner in the firm’s Hong Kong office. My practice focuses on international corporate securities, including the representation of multinational corporations in cross-border mergers and acquisitions, SEC compliance, and the acquisition of assets and brand names. I also serve as honorary legal adviser to several trade and professional associations in Hong Kong.
I represent multinational and Chinese corporations in cross-border mergers and acquisitions, U.S. capital market fund raising, private equity investments, direct foreign investments in China, compliance with regulations of the US Securities and Exchange Commission, and acquisition of assets and brand names.
Reopened the Hong Kong office of Heller Ehrman in 1993 and opened its Beijing office in 2003 as first resident partner. Converted the Hong Kong office to a Hong Kong partnership in 2003.
