With over 20 years of banking experience encompassing retail, SME and corporate banking, I have finally ventured out of the banking industry and focusing on addressing and training SMEs on the challenges they encountered in obtaining bank financing. Unlike the typical credit risk trainings that are usually catering to the needs of bankers, I chose to re-posture my training to benefit SME business owners. I believe credit risk awareness is not solely meant for bankers but will also help to improve SMEs credit profiles to enhance their financing accessibility and bankability.

o Piloting the new Credit Policy Architecture framework for the Bank. o Piloting the Retail Product Programmes for Consumer Banking business. o Develop or review credit policies and guidelines. o Undertake credit product risk assessment. o Credit portfolio management and reporting of retail and non-retail credits. o Credit surveillance of potential / emerging risk and problematic loans / financing.
Core responsibilities: - o Supervise and manage a team of credit reviewers to conduct post approval credit review of performing loans / financing and post-mortem review of newly impaired credit facilities. o Review and finalise reports prepared by team members. o Presenting credit review findings to management and Board committees. o Reviewing commercial terms of contracts for the projects and deals in safeguarding the Company’s interest. Other responsibilities: - o Conduct pre-approval assessment on Single Counterparty Exposure Limit (SCEL). o Introduce and develop the new Credit Policy Architecture framework for the Bank. o Introduce and oversee the development of Retail Product Programmes for Consumer Banking business.
