About

Having managed production teams for several years for various in-house departments, I have learnt to strike the balance between creative and production and to have had a substantial impact on the growth and direction of the companies. Alongside my passion for production I have designed specialist workflow systems to monitor my departments resource, work load and finances that have allowed accurate reporting for P&L updates, auditors and top management reviews which has meant that each year my teams have received consistent investment and growth whilst excelling in creative quality. www.simonemaggi.com

As Global Head of Production Operations, I lead how production works across Uncommon’s offices — making sure commercial priorities, operations and creative output are all properly connected. Alongside this, I oversee line production and in-house capabilities, managing teams and output to ensure consistently high standards across everything we deliver. A big part of my role is building and evolving the systems behind the work: from workflows and resource planning to the financial structures that keep everything running smoothly. CYLNDR is the creative production company of the Cheil network and services Cheil globally and the creative agencies BMB. When I started, the CYLNDR team was in its infancy and my role has been to build and manage the production team whilst being responsible for all of its output. I work closely with the agencies during client briefings and advise on specific production approaches, budgets and timescales. As the project begins to take more shape I appoint the correct resource to produce the project from start to finish and work with them to make sure that all the client and agency requirements are met. At CYLNDR we have produced work ranging from social posts, classified product launches and full scale TV and digital campaigns encompassing design, photography, motion and all elements of post-production. Alongside the standard EP responsibilities I have also been tasked with managing the departments the finances and tracking of costs for each individual project. I have designed and built various tracking tools that allow me to efficient manage the information across all projects and generate financial reports for the Head of Production and management meetings. Over the years I have managed campaigns for the following clients: Samsung, Nike, Lego, Farrow & Ball, PepsiCo, Nivea, Innocent, Patak’s, LinkedIn and many more.

As the Executive Producer my role was to manage and run the in-house production team for Saatchi & Saatchi. I was the first contact for any new briefs and I designed estimates, advised the account and creative teams throughout the bidding process and assigned the correct resource to produce the project. My role also allowed me to oversee the production until it's completion and delivery. I reported directly to the Head of Integrated Film and worked alongside the Head of Post-Production to ensure all productions are managed and delivered to creative and client expectations. I also managed all of the in-house production teams finances which meant I created weekly financial reports, including revenue summary and freelance expenditure, for the CFO, MD and Finance Director. These are some of the clients I have managed campaigns for: Direct Line, ASDA, HSBC, Deutsche Telekom, Expedia, VISA, Toyota, Cadbury and many more.
