I am a neurosurgery resident based in London, with specialist expertise in data science, computer vision, and translational artificial intelligence. I currently hold the position of Senior Research Fellow within the Surgical Technology group at University College London, where I lead research initiatives in machine learning, natural language processing, and computer vision, with a particular focus on their applications in skull base neurosurgery. My work has informed international surgical guidelines on the evaluation of AI in robotics and has contributed to advancements in the analysis of operative video data.
PhD Candidate: AI in Lateral Skull Base Neurosurgery
My role involved redeveloping the IDEAL Advisory service within the IDEAL Collaboration, with the aim of providing expert, stage-specific support to research teams applying the IDEAL Framework to strengthen study design, methodology, and real-world clinical translation of healthcare innovations (including devices, robotics, and AI). This involved restructuring our routes for external contact and enquiry handling, meeting with innovators globally, and advising on study methodology to ensure alignment with IDEAL stage-specific requirements, maximising the likelihood of research success, clinical uptake, and market readiness.
