I am an experienced Finance and Accounting professional specialising in the financial aspects of Upstream Oil & Gas Joint Ventures
I lead a specialist team within Upstream Financial Planning and Performance Management Department, responsible for ensuring high quality financial reporting, compliance and support for Upstream operations. Together, our aim is to be a trusted business partner, delivering timely and accurate financial insights, supporting accounting validation, ensuring adherence with IFRS and Aramco’s internal policies, in co-ordination with Corporate Finance.
I have been working within the Financial Reporting, Planning and Performance Management Department for the Upstream business line. Contributing to the delivery of the annual Upstream Business and Investment plan submission’s and quarterly performance reviews. I review revenue, purchases and perform complimentary controls over transfer pricing schedules for the Upstream business line. On an ad hoc basis, I undertake various other reviews and tasks relating to Upstream Joint Ventures, domestic gas pricing modelling and scenario outcomes.
Finance Lead for Cairn's International Region. Providing protection from financial and reputational risk through compliance with Accounting Policy (Statutory, Group-IFRS & local GAAP), Joint Operating Agreements, Production Sharing Contracts/Agreements and Tax requirements. * Reporting to the Group Financial Controller, Regional Director and relevant New Venture & Asset Management. * Providing Leadership and direction to a small team, I am responsible for the implementation, maintenance and development of financial systems, procedures and financial controls necessary to process the financial transactions of operated & non-operated Oil & Gas assets. * Regions covered were Morocco (Local Reporting, JOA, Association Contract compliance), Mauritania (non-operated asset reporting), Mexico (New Country Entry, Local Reporting, PSA & JOA compliance) , Ireland (Local Reporting, JOA & NV's), Italy (Country Exit), Spain (Country Exit), Malta (Country Exit) and Greenland (License Exit). * Joint Venture & Supplier Audit
Working within the operational accounting team responsible for Management Reporting (incl budgeting & forecasting) and JV accounting for several joint ventures (operated & non operated) for European & North African based assets.
Seconded to two project PFI companies (incorporated Joint Ventures) to provide financial and accounting services to the respective project board of directors.
