Serving as a lead policy maker for a small island developing state, in one of the world’s most climate vulnerable regions, I led a team directly charged with delivering impactful solutions to address the climate crisis.
Responsible for implementing national education policies and strategies, key priority areas included - aligning the curriculum with workplace skill demands, and introducing Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) into secondary schools.
I sought to close the national skills gap, accelerating the expansion of university scholarship programmes and Technical and Vocational Education and Training aligned to national development priorities. In addition to leading the national environment and climate agendas.
As Leader of Government's Business I was responsible for championing government's legislative agenda in the Senate.
Responsible for Grenada's tourism product development and marketing, specific achievements included - developing a new tourism strategy and the restructuring of the organisation.
