Commercial Aviation Finance covering operating lease and secured aircraft debt financing
• Built AAC’s aircraft leasing company from infancy to an 80 aircraft operation, including the formulation of a multi year strategic plan, construction of a tax efficient global corporate structure located in Singapore and London and the subsequent sourcing of a multi disciplined experienced team in those locations. • Origination of aircraft acquisitions and the negotiation of $1.9bn of financing (covering portfolio term loans and warehouse facilities) • Culminating in co- leadership of the successful sale of AAC for $2.9bn (Enterprise Value). This included the drafting of the Information Memorandum, sourcing of bidders, managing the data room and negotiating the financing for the sale. • Director of Asia Aviation Capital Pte Limited and Asia Aviation Capital Ireland Limited.
• Grew SCB’s Aviation Finance business in Asia Pacific from scratch. My team was responsible for the origination and execution of aircraft operating lease, multi currency debt financing (finance lease, direct mortgage, French or Japanese tax debt financing, Islamic and pre delivery financing), aviation advisory services including financing strategies and sales of aircraft. • Delivered financing transactions totaling $2.8 billion (52 aircraft) of sale and leaseback (“SLB”) and $1.8 billion (99 aircraft) debt financing over a period of 8 years. • Director of Pembroke Group Limited and Pembroke Leasing (Labuan) Pte Limited.
