CURRENT EMPLOYMENT Simon Mills is a journalist, writer, editor, author, content creator, and brand consultant with over 25 years of experience of working with magazines, newspapers, brands and contract publishing. Until 2025, he was Bespoke editor at Wallpaper* magazine creating unique content concepts for print and on-line brand collaborations, short films and events. Working with prestigious, luxury clients across a wide range of platforms – digital, film, social media, live events, product creation and print media - his responsibilities include ideating, writing and developing creative pitches for brand partnership campaigns and generating specialist content during a project’s gestation and production. Working to tight deadlines for demanding and exacting clients, Simon’s strength is as an ‘ideas’ person; reading, decoding and understanding briefs, reacting to trends and recognising audiences’ expectations to generate smart, elegant, contemporary content across a variety of platforms. Recent clients include Samsung, A Lange & Sohne, Nike, Bentley, LG, Vans, Dassault Systemes. PREVIOUS CAREER Simon began his career in teenage magazines - Just Seventeen and Smash Hits - before moving on to work as a freelance writer for The Face and i-D. After moving to the Sunday Times as the magazine's deputy editor, and receiving a BSME award for young editor of the year, he forged a prolific freelance career as a style, men’s fashion, music and film writer for Vogue, Tatler, GQ, Esquire, The Times, Arena, The Evening Standard, The Guardian and The New Yorker, specialising in lifestyle features - fashion, design, architecture, social observation, humour, sport, celebrity and travel. He was a contributing editor at British GQ for 15 years. He has edited several specialist contract publications. He recently interviewed Prince Charles for a Wallpaper* magazine design feature.
