Responsible for Mechanical Assembly in Clean Rooms for VIRGO Project • Shutdowns schedule. • Coordination of the assembling operations performed on site by the collaboration laboratories • Design, procurement and manufacturing of components for the project facility • Development of assembly tools, creation of procedures • Research on the adaptation and improvement of dry-ice cleaning technique, as well as other methods for the in-situ cleaning. Cleaning of mechanical and optical components under high vacuum • Definition of procedures and development of tools for the assembly of opto-mechanical systems in ultra-clean conditions (class 10 clean room). • Definition and purchasing / implementation of a washing / drying prototype machine, oven (153 K€), operating with ultra-pure water. • 4 weeks training on project LIGO at Hanford Observatory, WA USA. http://www.ligo-wa.caltech.edu/ From 2004 : member of the Commissioning Team
