Advanced Manufacturing Engineer Program Leader at GE Healthcare in Sunnyvale, Ca Responsible for New Product Introductions (NPI's) for our Invenia ABUS system. The link between engineering and manufacturing operations. Responsibilities include; working with vendors on parts issues related to design, tolerances, material selection, manufacturing processes, etc.; working with customers (both external and internal); reviewing mechanical drawings; assisting on FAI's; manufacturing floor issues and troubleshooting. etc, etc.
Sr. Engineer responsible for equipment installation and support in a new 30 million USD solar panel manufacturing facility. Managed the installation of PV manufacturing equipment valued at 5.6 million USD. Worked closely with equipment vendors on all stages of equipment purchase including; machine specification, design concept, buyoff, onsite installation and qualification. Additional responsibilities included equipment design improvements, troubleshooting, performing equipment upgrades and modifications as well as onsite and remote support of our contract manufacturer. Managed our departments CAD files including revisions and BOM’s.
2003 to Dec. 2009 - Working with Unigraphics 3D CAD software to design, develop, build and test all aspects of mechanical equipment, components and machinery related to SBS singulation system (Semiconductor backend packaging equipment) and Compression Molding machines. Engage with computational engineering analysis, detailed design, creation of shop drawings, coordination of work done in outside shops, hands-on build of prototypes and final production units. Projects included: Micron Boise OS tester (with dollar amount of $500K X 8 machines) Phillips Lumileds tablet on load (with dollar amount of 60K X 19 machines). Responsible for creating and maintaining Bill of Materials and performing Engineering Change Notices.
