To lead a team of 12 Quality technicians. The work pattern for the technicians is twelve-hour shifts. There are four teams, running a pattern of three days on, three off. The manufacturing operation runs 24 / 7. To capture any non-conforming product, liaise with production to put corrective actions in place, isolate any potentially affected product. To lead in the assessment, release or disposal of such product. Investigate preventative actions from any non-conformances through the 8D process. Support successful implementation of process changes. Support process improvement & problem-solving meetings and activities. Support training of various teams on quality procedures and ensure compliance to best practices. Create SOP or OPL as required to aid in the training or understanding of existing or new quality processes.0

Manage a team of Quality Control inspectors, involving good in activities and audit inspection. Manage the Test departments, involving the inspection and electrical testing of factory-built panel boards, S4 Sivacom power distribution boards & control circuit cubicles Liaise with both suppliers and procurement for UK and overseas supplied parts in order to resolve any non-conformances. Issue and follow up any IQCA / 8D / PSDM reports raised from these N/C. Member of the core team that investigate any customer complaints, establish root cause and initiate corrective actions, including PSDM when required Responsibility for key quality functions within product approval including Initial Sample Inspection Reports from external suppliers and initial sample approvals & PLM sign offs from site designed / manufactured parts. Produce & maintain the company calibration database, and manage the mechanical and electrical crimp tool calibration requirements. Carry out in house calibration of torque tools. Investigate any internal manufacturing process non-conformances found, establish the root cause and initiate corrective actions with the appropriate parties. Document this for the monthly Q Report Carry out process audits as required through ISO 9001, ISO14001 & OHSAS 18001. Issue any non-conformances raised. Manage the company reject & scrap process through SAP, with responsibility for the associated warehouse.

Product included heated baths, shaker baths, block heaters, control units (digital & analogue), rotisserie ovens, refrigeration units and loggers. An ISO9001 accredited company. Key job roles. This would involve building & wiring to drawing, soldering and brazing. Refrigeration work would also require vacuum and gas charging. Administration work involving booking in works orders, resolving shortages, monitoring build times and maintaining bill of materials accuracy.
